Born
in Texas, raised in Arizona, and now back living in Texas Lynn's love
for horses and the western lifestyle was only natural as she grew up
going to rodeos with her father. She married into a ranching family and
her life expanded into the world of the working cowboy.
Lynn's extensive portfolio portrays everything from old-time rodeo
cowgirls of the 1900's through the 1940's to the day-to-day life of the
working cowboy. For many years she successfully owned and operated a
business that incorporated many of the images that she paints. Currently
Montana Silversmiths is producing Lynn’s artwork in a line of jewelry,
dishes and home products. Her dishes from Montana Silversmiths will be
featured in an upcoming book “Come & Get It -The Saga of Western Themed
Dinnerware”
Lynn’s art has been exhibited in many shows throughout the western
United States. She has recently exhibited her work in the “Trappings of
the American West”, AQHA Hall of Fame Museum’s, “America’s Horse in Art”
and the “Phippen Museum’s Miniature Masterpieces Art Show”. Her art work
has been chosen to represent many events including the Santa Clarita
Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival, Santa Clarita, CA, Prescott Cowboy
Poetry and Music Festival, Prescott, AZ and most
recently “A Tribute to Chris Ledoux” Art Show and Rodeo, Kaycee, WY, to
name just a few. Lynn was included in The Dry Creek Arts Fellowship,
Beyond the 98th Meridian traveling exhibit that was featured at the 2002
Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT.
Working mainly in watercolor and oils, Lynn works to express her
feelings for the day to day life of the working cowboy, the horse, and
the west through her art. |
